IC; musical discussion and double date with Kurt, Blaine, and Emily
[there are drinks lined up over the bar, but they're all virgin, for the sake of remaining sober during this discussion. Santana is rested up on the end furthest away from Emily with her eyes on Kurt, as she's looking at him with an indication of "get on with it." even though they've only been set up for two minutes, she's already growing impatient. like most times of the day, it's not difficult to find themselves alone in the bar, either. so it goes]

I don't know if that whole posse of popular jocks and cheerleaders ever realized I never had a friend before glee. No one wanted to speak to me. Even Mr. Ryerson disliked me.

Let me finish.
Like I said, I had no friends until glee. And then I met Mercedes and Artie and Tina, but . . . there was still something missing. There was someone I desperately wanted to be friends with. And then it happened. Mr. Schue came up with the ballad assignment. You remember that. I was paired up with Finn.
That week, we exchanged phone numbers and hung out after school very day. He'd come to me needing all sorts of advice. Fashion, music, his love life . . . I'd never had that before.
And the week after that? It was like none of that ever happened, like we'd never shared . . . He just went back to Quinn.
I know it's not the same thing, but you should know you're not alone. When it comes to rejection, I have all the scars.

So, that's the problem? That she's not in camp?

[more seriously] You can at least admit this is messing you up and keeping you from gaining a very good friend, can't you?
