IC; musical discussion and double date with Kurt, Blaine, and Emily

[there are drinks lined up over the bar, but they're all virgin, for the sake of remaining sober during this discussion. Santana is rested up on the end furthest away from Emily with her eyes on Kurt, as she's looking at him with an indication of "get on with it." even though they've only been set up for two minutes, she's already growing impatient. like most times of the day, it's not difficult to find themselves alone in the bar, either. so it goes]

. . . until he abruptly opens his eyes and raises an eyebrow at the explosive laughter coming from the laptop]

[looks from the girls over to the computer and chuckles a little at the cause of the sudden noise. keeps Kurt close though, not swayed by the distraction]

[yeah, okay. just going to tug on Blaine's hand and take him downstairs. he figures both couples would like some privacy now.]

[heads downstairs with Kurt, moving towards a little sitting area with a few couches and chairs. all designer of course. sits down on one, and pulls Kurt with him, still speaking quietly even though the girls probably can't hear them anymore]

You know I'd take credit if I could, but this was all Emily. After she tore both of us a new one, Santana looked like she was reading a love letter from Breadstix. It'll be months of "it's complicated" before they become Facebook official, though. Santana's got a lot to work through.

[wrapping his arms around Kurt and speaking into his neck, clearly a little buzzed, but not drunk]

Maybe so, but you got them here at the same time. You deserve a little credit.

[nosing what he can reach of Blaine's cheek and temple, pressing his lips to Blaine's skin but not really kissing]

Yes, but I had to threaten to boot Santana off twice. And this is only the first day. I need to figure out a way to keep her from acting out and trying to take charge of everything. I want her to stay, but it's my play.

[nodding, hand sort of tracing along Kurt's stomach absently as he talks]

You know I'm on your side, and as far as what she actually wants to be involved in on stage, I think Emily is too. At the very least we just outvote her.

Also, I don't know if you know this, but I'm very intimidating. I'll back you up.

I have to say, I am impressed at your ability to stay focused and on topic. I'm not so impressed with your intimidating mode, however. Your strength is that you're too damn reasonable to say "no" to.

[pressing a kiss to Kurt's neck. not really trying to interrupt the discussion, just... distracted]

[moans a little bit, greatly from the surprise of the sudden hair pulling. kissing Kurt back with equal enthusiasm] Maybe I can get you drunk if I try really hard.

Because... you're a good person, when you want to be, Santana. And sometimes when you don't mean to be. You're passionate and... kind of bossy, and the things you care about, you care about so much. I like seeing that. Plus, you get me to do things I wouldn't on my own. Things I wouldn't even think of actually, but that I'm so glad you did. I just really enjoy being around you... when you'll let me enjoy it.
