IC; musical discussion and double date with Kurt, Blaine, and Emily

[there are drinks lined up over the bar, but they're all virgin, for the sake of remaining sober during this discussion. Santana is rested up on the end furthest away from Emily with her eyes on Kurt, as she's looking at him with an indication of "get on with it." even though they've only been set up for two minutes, she's already growing impatient. like most times of the day, it's not difficult to find themselves alone in the bar, either. so it goes]

Well, if they snap and don't survive the trip to the Mess Hall, we'll just have to take over and finish everything in their memory.

In that unfortunate event, should be we keep the premise as is, or write an elaborate memorial? There could even be doves.

It should definitely still be a musical, but not a depressing one. More like the zombie camp musical version of a New Orleans funeral.

And at the end, they can come back as zombies and reprise the opening number where they were first fighting.

If I have to be a zombie too, I'm going to be one with its throat torn out or something. I already told Kurt I'm not singing.

I don't think that'll be a problem, if he's getting the other McKinley kids to join there'll be no shortage of people wanting to sing. How do you feel about dancing?

Why not? [gestures towards Santana and Kurt with his head] I don't think we're in a rush.

Fine. But I should warn you. I know enough to survive a school dance intact, but beyond that... [shakes her head and then takes his hand]

[taking her other hand and moving into something resembling a waltz]

That's all it takes unless you're trying out for So You Think You Can Dance. Any choreography in this thing will be the same way.

[as she said, she isn't bad but most of the exercise her legs get is in the pool rather than on the dance floor]

[Blaine thinks he's better than he is, but generally he fakes it pretty well with enthusiasm]

It'll be fun no matter what we do, I'm just glad there are people here interested in trying. I'm sure Kurt's even more thrilled than he's letting on.

Even just having something to keep busy with is good. Santana and I came up with this really great idea for something and were just starting on the plans, but now... I don't know.

What's the idea? [spinning Emily suddenly, with at least enough skill to pull it off]

[okay, she can't help but laugh at that]

Well, we were thinking about looking into whether there were proper facilities and supplies around to start camp's first local radio station. One where at least some portion of the content would be by musical artists that are actually in camp right now.

[pulling her back in quickly, waltz turning in to something more like swing]

That would be amazing, you have to figure out a way to do it!

Trust me, I'd love to. But things have changed since then. Santana is barely speaking to me now.

[after a moment, finally stops dancing. ends with a little bow]

See? You're fantastic.

From what Kurt tells me, she's just like that. I'm sure she'll come around.

And I hope so. But she's sort of stuck on... [makes a vague gesture to indicate all the snarky comments Santana's been making today] and I don't think she's going to really hear anything I say to her right now.
