IC; musical discussion and double date with Kurt, Blaine, and Emily
[there are drinks lined up over the bar, but they're all virgin, for the sake of remaining sober during this discussion. Santana is rested up on the end furthest away from Emily with her eyes on Kurt, as she's looking at him with an indication of "get on with it." even though they've only been set up for two minutes, she's already growing impatient. like most times of the day, it's not difficult to find themselves alone in the bar, either. so it goes]

. . . The story is, tentatively, about a group of campers who band together to take the barrier down. I haven't decided on a villain yet, but I don't think I'll go with the speakers or the director. The former are too intangible, and the latter is too realistic. Expect there to be changes in upcoming weeks, however. I have yet to get ahold of someone who can tell me more about this place.

Intangible could work until the end though, like a disembodied voice and then in the final showdown introduce who it's been the whole time. Not entirely original, but effective.

I might be able to write both ideas in. The character could seem to be sympathetic at first, while using other means to communicate as the villain until the reveal. Or maybe we could have two characters, with the disembodied voice being the second in command . . . But that's too close to the reality of camp. What do you think, Blaine?

Okay, well if you're going for something further from reality, Santana's idea could work. Definitely.

Multiple shower scenes? Really? That feels like a very different kind of play.

[walks back to the boards he's set up] Alright, does anyone have something they'd like to say? That isn't about adult entertainment? If no, then I think we're done for today.

Okay, I think that's probably enough discussion of porn. I for one don't plan on reenacting any on stage.
[to Kurt]
So, calling it a day on play discussion?

I'm good for now.

Let's call this meeting to a close.

Oh, but you two have to come see Blaine's cabin! It's not even really a cabin, it's as if a part of Dalton Academy split off from the mothership and landed in camp. I have some movies on my laptop and we can grab some food from the Mess Hall on the way.
no subject
Yeah, you have to see this place! I'm amazed it was empty.
no subject
Sure. If that's what everyone wants to do.
