[Santana is sitting in the Busted Ball at the bar with the music playing from the jukebox. it's playing "Don't You Forget About Me" at the moment, though it'll become quickly noticeable that it's just cycling through eighties pop music featured in John Hughes movies. she's humming along and filing her nails, and there's a few pieces of paper in front of her with ... music notes]

nevermind. the point is, Emily's going to just sorta be standing here in the doorway for a sec, since she saw Santana as she was walking in and hesitated there]

[yes, because her other choice is living with a vampire. though she's around a lot less because she was avoiding moments like—well, moments like these.

Santana's filing halts for a moment and she angles herself to look at Emily out of the corner of her eye]

Berry and I were supposed to write a song together, but we haven't had a chance to do anything. I figured I'd get my part out of the way, so we're going non-alcoholic right now.

[said lightly as she goes to get Emily a glass. she slides a Coke-filled one over the counter a moment later, before returning to her seat]

In terms of musical grade, it's probably better than "My Headband," but ...

[rolls her eyes and shuffles the papers together in an even pile]

Yeah, it probably had something to do with your body molding very closely to mine the other day.

And also the part where usually around this time, we're preparing for regionals. Okay, give or take a week, some time changes or whatever, but that's how it goes. Writing this has gotten me in the mood, and like, seriously, the fact that our last performance got called off due to a mixture of fang issues and the sun deciding to blot out, it's about time we made this entire camp wish they could touch us. And by us, I mean me, because Berry's nose grows larger by the day, Blaine definitely uses margarine in his hair, I confirmed it, and Kurt, well. At least he has to recycle some of his clothing now.
